The Vicar of Dibley

The Vicar Of Dibley is a popular laugh-out-loud sitcom starring Dawn French as the Vicar of the rural parish of Dibley.

Rev. Ms. Boadicea Geraldine Granger.

Geraldine (Dawn French) is a bouncy, bubbly, curvy female Vicar of Dibley. She has a keen sense of moral correctness & will stand up for injustice; she also has a genuine love for the people of Dibley despite their many flaws! But she has a much greater love for chocolate & ice-cream. (especially when depressed)

Mrs Alice Springs Horton.

Alice is a few sandwiches short of a picnic. She has a heart of gold, but doesn't understand many of the common issues of life, nor Geraldine's jokes.

Alice falls in love with Hugo & gets married. She's very sensitive, easily offended, easily confused & has a vivid imagination surrounding whats normal - (such as teletubby bridesmaids & pageboys)

Mr Hugo Horton.

Hugo is a veritable puppet to his controlling father. He aims to avoid conflict, & always aims to please, but blossoms upon his romantic marriage to Alice.

Councillor David Horton.

David enjoys to feel in charge & assumes he is most of the time. (abit of a power trip) David is a Cambridge educated; upper-class; very wealthy; politically very right-wing; a conservative voter; divorced & seeks tradition & law & order.

The other locals include: the incomprehensible Jim Trott, Frank the boring parish clerk, straight-talking former Owen Newitt & terrible cook Letitia.
