Cracker

Cracker is a popular TV crime series starring Robbie Coltrane, written by Jimmy McGovern.

Cracker first hit British screens on ITV in 1993, it officially ran as a series until 1995.

Robbie Coltrane starred as Dr. Eddie "Fitz" Fitzgerald, a brilliant psychologist, a chronic gambler, alcoholic, chain smoker, over-eater and serial philanderer. Fitz was respected by the local constabulary for his talent as a "Cracker" using professional skills to solve complex crimes that often leaves the official police totally baffled.

Others in the cast include: Barbara Flynn plays Judith, Fitz's long-suffering wife.

Geraldine Somerville plays Det. Sgt. Jane Penhaligon, Fitz's police contact and sometimes lover. Other colleagues are DCI Charlie Wise (Ricky Tomlinson) and Det. Sgt. Jimmy Beck (Lorcan Cranitch)
